This degree programme prepares graduates to be capable of assuming technical, management, academic and research / development level positions in the construction industry, as well as across a wide range of other industries such as bio-pharmaceutical, high-technology and science industries.

Database Applications and Computer Programmin; Statistics; Principles of Building; Engineering Material; Strength of Materials; Business Law; Management Accounting; Health and Safety in Practice; Fundamentals of Operations Engineering; Project Planning and Organisation; Workshops, Laboratory Exercises, and Projects

Year Three:
Operation Research; Managerial Economics; Management of Human Resources; Construction Operations; Civil Engineering Infrastructure Design; Soil Mechanics; Health and Safety Law; Planning and Law; Advanced Business Law; Workshops, Laboratory Exercises and Projects

Year Four:

Entry Requirements


Students must present six subjects of which two must be at grade C or above at Advanced GCE (A-Level. The other subjects must be at least at grade C or above on GCSE or Advanced Subsidiary GCE (AS) papers. The six subjects must include: English, Mathematics, a Laboratory Science subject and a language other than English.
